The Ball

Dancing

Kat Nagar will be our dance mistress for the 2024 Fête Minuet. Kat is an expert in historical dances and her passion is truly inspiring.

Kat will be posting the finale dance video in advance here so you can work on the steps at home if you want.

The plan is to do mini-sessions upstairs on the terrace throughout the evening for smaller groups. Guests will sign up for those time slots in advance.

All lessons are included with your ticket. Those lessons will be first come first serve and Kat will choose how many people can be in a group.

The end of the evening dance will include everyone in the grand hall. You do not need a partner to participate in 18th century dances. These dances were designed to include everyone. And they truly are fun!!! These dances were designed as a "promenade" to show off your expensive dress or court suit and of course, your high society manners.

Costume Contest

We have enlisted the help of two judges:

Brigitte Jensen is a three-time knighted French Honorary Consulate in Orlando. She is a member of Fete Minuet’s Court and has been a great resource for us at we created this event. It seemed only natural that she represent the country of France by judging our costume contest in the 18th Century Ball. We are delighted to present Brigitte as a Judge.

Patti Osborn is a classically trained opera singer and historical costumer. She has helped out tremendously on our Facebook Events Page answering costume questions and sharing sources. For that reason, we approached her to help judge the costume contest. We are thrilled that she will bring her expertise to our contest.

No doubt, it is going to be a tough decision for the judges!!!

Dining

Arthur’s Catering will be providing many hors d’oueuvres, desserts, cheese, fruits and light bites.

Arthur’s Catering will provide a full liquor license and a cash bar.
